Quality Policy
Green Maritime Technology - GMT provides Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering and Consulting services, focusing on new technology and innovative solutions in maritime industry. We offer consultancy and project management services, aiming to improve shipping companies’ environmental performance whilst lowering operational costs.
Tackling the challenges of environmentally friendly shipping operation as our mission, our experienced engineers and surveyors operate worldwide and assist our clients to deal with their complex engineering projects.
GMT is committed to providing top quality services which conform to the applicable, international & national regulations that safeguard the safety of life at sea and fully meet all technical requirements as well as our client’s expectations.
To achieve this, GMT has documented and implemented a Quality Management System in line with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
GMT is committed to:
- Complying with all applicable requirements.
- Satisfying customer needs.
- Continuous improvement of the of the services’ provided quality, as well as the Quality Management System itself via objectives development, which are reviewed annually, as well as via the evaluation of procedures and related indicators.
- Promoting always open dialogue and updating interested parties into a spirit of sincere and mutual respect.
- Implementing a program of continuous staff education & training. Also encouraging them to actively participate on an individual or team level, as regards to Operations of the Company, in order to fulfil the Quality Objectives and ensure Quality Management System improvement.
- Utilizing modern technology and constantly updating the hardware and software used.
- Providing resources to every level (human - material - financial) that will contribute to the continuous Quality Management System improvement.
The Top Management ensures that this policy is communicated and fully understood by all GMT’s human resources, implemented and maintained at all levels of the organizational structure.
Additionally, GMT urges external providers and every other interested party, to embrace those principles and operate in accordance with them. Finally, this policy is available to the staff, customers and suppliers as well as any interested party.

Health & Safety Policy
GMT, with regard to human respect, has established and operates an Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Management System in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018.
GMT is committed to:
- Providing safe & healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injury and/or sickness.
- Satisfying applicable legal requirements and other requirements
- Ensuring and facilitating consultation and participation of workers and, where applicable, workers’ representatives.
- Eliminating hazards and reducing OH&S risks from its activities, including external providers and interested parties.
- Continuous improvement of the OH&S management system, through the development of objectives that are reviewed annually and the evaluation of procedures and related indicators.
- Implementing a program of continuous staff education & training. Also encouraging them to actively participate on an individual or team level, as regards to Operations of the Company, in order to fulfil the Quality Objectives and ensure Quality Management System improvement.
- Informing and encouraging staff to actively participate, individually and collectively for the improvement of the working environment within its field of activity.
- Promoting open dialogue and updating interested parties in a spirit of honesty and mutual respect.
- Providing resources at every level (human - material - financial) that will contribute to the continuous Quality Management System improvement.

Social Accountability Policy
In Green Maritime Technology we value our people since apprehending that our success depends on them. All of our employees should work in a safe, positive and supportive environment with the highest ethical standards that supports and safeguards their rights.
To ensure the wellbeing of our people, incorporate the Social Accountability Policy in accordance with SA8000:2014 to our operations. The policy is guided by SA8000, the International Bill of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

Child Labor and Young Workers:
We prohibit child labor and, under no circumstances, no person is hired under the legal age of employment.
Forced and Compulsory Labor:
We do not engage in or support the use of forced or compulsory labor as defined in ILO Convention 29.
We do not withhold any part of any employee’s salary, benefits, property or documents in order to force such personnel to continue working for the company.
Personnel have the right to leave the workplace premises after completing the standard workday and is free to terminate their employment, given that they provide reasonable notice to their employer.
We prohibit human trafficking slavery or servitude.

Health & Safety:
We provide a Safe & Healthy workplace environment and we take effective steps to prevent potential accidents and injury to workers’ health arising out of-associated with or occurring in the course of work, by minimizing, as reasonably practical, the causes of hazards inherent to the workplace environment, bearing in mind the prevailing principles of Marine and of any specific hazards.

We all are responsible for complying with applicable OH&S policy and government laws & regulations and for fully committing to the requirements of the ISO 45001 Standard in our work activities – where applicable.

Freedom of Association and Right to Collective Bargaining:
All GMT personnel have the right to form, join, and organize labor unions to bargain collectively on their behalf with the company. We respect this right, and effectively inform personnel that they are free to join labor union or any other bodies freely elected by them and that their doing so will not result to any negative consequences or retaliation from our organization.
We do not interfere in the establishment, functioning or administration of such labor unions or collective bargaining.
We ensure that workers’ representatives and any personnel engaged in organizing workers are not subjected to discrimination, harassment, intimidation or retaliation owing to being members of a union or participating in labor union activities and having access to their members in the workplace.

Discrimination:
We do not engage in or support discrimination in hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, national or social origin, caste, birth, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, marital status, union membership, political opinions, age or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination.
We do not interfere with personnel’s rights to observe tenets or practices, or to meet needs relating to race, national or social origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, union membership, political opinions or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination.
We do not allow any behavior that is threatening, abusive, exploitative or sexually coercive, including gestures, language and physical contact in the workplace.

Disciplinary Practices:
We treat all personnel with dignity and respect. Our organization do not engage in - or tolerate the use of corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion and verbal abuse of personnel. We do not resort to any harsh or inhumane treatment of our personnel.
Disciplinary Actions will be determined on a case by case basis, depending upon the nature and severity of the non-complied behavior. Action taken may include any one or more of the following:
• warning
• removal from first line and depending works, including vessel's surveys
• in house re-training sessions
• termination of employment

Working Hours:
We comply with applicable laws and industry standards on working hours and public holidays.
The normal work week, not including overtime, shall not exceed 40 hours.
Personnel is provided with two days off following every five consecutive days of working.
All overtime work is voluntary and not be requested on a regular basis.

Remuneration:
We respect the right of personnel to a living wage and ensure that wages paid always meet at least legal minimum standards and that they are sufficient to meet the basic needs of personnel and to provide some discretionary income.
We ensure that deductions from wages are not made for disciplinary purposes.
We ensure that personnel’s wages and benefits are clearly and regularly explained in details during each payment period. Our organization also ensures that wages and benefits are rendered in full compliance with all applicable laws.
All overtime is reimbursed at a premium rate as defined by national law.
Our organization do not use labor-only contracting arrangements / consecutive short-term contracts / false apprenticeship schemes to avoid fulfilling its obligations to personnel and operates under applicable laws pertaining to labor and social security legislation.
In the context of continuous improvement, the above performance criteria shall be achieved by:
• Systematically implementing the requirements of SA 8000.
• Setting and periodically reviewing Social Accountability objectives and targets.
• Enhancing awareness among employees and interested parties through their active participation.
The company's management is committed to actively participate in System implementation and provide resources at all levels (human - material - finance) that will contribute to continuous improvement.

Environmental Policy
We strive to be an environment-friendly organization by virtue of:
• Adoption of good environmental management practices.
• Prevention of pollution.
• Continuous improvement in Environmental Performance via objectives development (annual review) and via the evaluation of related indicators.
• Compliance with all applicable legal and other obligations.
GMT is committed to:
- Protecting the environment, including prevention of pollution, sustainable resource use, climate change, mitigation and adaptation, and protection of biodiversity and ecosystems.
- Identifying, evaluating and controlling the environmental risks, arising from its activities, including external providers and stakeholders.
- Protecting the natural environment from harmful changes and degradation, caused by the operations of our company.
- Reducing wastage of energy and natural resources.
- Reducing emissions and releases to the environment.
